Embarked on an armored vehicle, I was navigating the dusty roads of Afghanistan, where each turn revealed a new mystery. At the roundabout of Mahmoud é Raqi, our convoy came to a halt, and my gaze met that of three Afghans, their radiant smiles lighting up the entrance of their modest shop.
With a simple gesture, I silently ask for their permission to capture this moment. One of them, with elegant slowness, raises his hand as if to suspend time. He briefly disappears into the shadow of his shop, then reappears with a friend. With a graceful gesture, he invites me to now seize this precious moment.
Under my lens, their smiles blossom, a luminous testament to a profound humanity, rooted in a land of a thousand stories. What a wonderful people, whose beauty lies in the simplicity and authenticity of every encounter.
