At the end of the shooting of Jean-Michel Corillion‘s documentary, Terre Natale, Retour à Rurutu, the filming team is warmly welcomed by the residents of Moerai, a picturesque village in the Australes Islands of Polynesia. In this atmosphere of friendship and sharing, a curious child captures my attention. On the other side of the window, he sees me with my telephoto lens and, in a burst of childlike joy, starts playing with me inside the house.

Pressed against the glass, he mimics a fictitious camera, his little fingers capturing the moment with a touching lightness. Every gesture becomes a dance, every smile a ray of sunshine, illuminating the simple and authentic space around us. This scene, nestled in the beauty of Rurutu, where the laughter of children resonates like a sweet melody, becomes for me a reflection of this unforgettable encounter. A memory etched forever, symbolizing the innocence and magic of human exchanges, emerging from the depths of these enchanting islands.

This image has become my main visual for the site, capturing the essence of my artistic journey.
